She is literally a sophomore.

House members are elected by their very small districts, and are expected to represent those few people. Her predecessor did a fantastic job of doing just that, but she was swept in on the winds of change. It doesn't matter how many years she spends in the House, she will always demand free shit for everyone. That's not productive, but as Pelosi accurately noted, in that district democrats would 'elect a glass of water' if it ran as a Dem. She's very safe in her seat.

I love her during committee testimony. She pulls no punches.

'Free shit' is a non starter, though.

AOC is definitely a rising star, but in Congress your star has to rise for decades before you can become Speaker.

She could always move over to the Senate or take a Cabinet position and increase her pace.
