Sanders will be dead soon. I can't say how soon, but AOC's positions will continue to evolve as she ages, with or without Sanders as a mentor.
I didn't say anything about Trump's personality nor any trivial BS attributed to him, although most of it is true; and he is guilty of all of it.
But since you brought it up, let's talk about what Trump's insecure, selfish, incurious, functionally illiterate, jealous, narcissistic, egotistical tendencies did for us.
Think for one minute about what his base wanted from him, and how much of that agenda he actually accomplished. He set race relations in the US back 60 years. He taught millions of people that their uneducated, subjective opinions about provable facts, science, and medicine were equally right and valuable. He tried to convince us that the most powerful person on the planet should rage out like a teenage psychopath on social media anytime anyone said his hair was messed up or his outfit looked stupid. He showed us that alliances, friendships, and relationships can be transactional and devoid of affection. He proved that utter stupidity and a complete ignorance of history make us no more advanced than cavemen.
And you're comparing that to what exactly? Judicial appointments? Trump's inability to build a wall? The thriving economy Obama rebuilt for him after GWB fucked it to death? The COVID vaccines after he spent months lying to the American people and the world about COVID? The stock market? Do tell.
I'm not going to argue that you think Trump is better than his public portrayal. I would bet every dollar I have ever earned and will ever earn in this life that he's worse than we even know. At this point in time, AOC is inconsequential and Trump is a demon from hell. It's a faulty analogy.
