Let's put it all into perspective. Few Americans are fleeing to Russia. The only ones are people with arrest warrants in the USA. The only life in the USA worse than Russia is actually in prison. Russians are desperate to get out of Russia. They would love to come to the USA, but they are more than willing to settle for Turkey or Mexico.
