My partner was asked to interview for Harvard Medical school because he was Hispanic. [He didn't go to the interview because he didn't want to move because he was a geologist and did oil deals in Texas to support his family] Harvard didn't ask me even though I had a higher GPA and MCAT score.I also ultimatly finished higher in our medical school class.

One medical school application that many Medical schools use. And Medical schools looking for minority students often review MCAT scores then reach out to minority students to increase their minority applicants. I'm pretty sure one of those two things is the reason Harvard offered him an interview. He didn't accept the interview offer because he was a geologist and supported his family doing oil lease deals and didn't want to leave Texas.
