No surprise, the overwhelming numbers are from gun States, with Texas and the Gunshine State topping the list.

Now if Constitutional rights are absolute, that the Second Amendment “shall not be infringed,” as we are told over and over by gun huggers, how can this happen, how can TSA take away their weapons? Don’t they have a Constitutional right to have those guns with them?

how can it happen? pretty simple. government denies a constitutional right and freedom hating fuckstick cowards, like YOU, let it happen and approve......why should government do anything different?

So you are saying people should be free to carry any weapon the desire on air flights, correct?

they were at one time, so yes. it wasn't a problem then. I know, YOU have zero faith in other human beings that aren't elected to political office or are armed government agents, but that's your problem, not the rest of society. An armed society is a polite society.

When gun manufacturers bribed enough politicians it all changed. We have guns everywhere. We did not in the past. Americans bought 20 million last year. Year after year we get more. An armed society is a dangerous place . There is plenty of evidence for that.

wrong. all of it. I carry everyday here in DFW, I have seen ONE other person carrying this year. As a civilian, YOU are not only responsible for your own safety, YOU are the first responder. Society is a dangerous place as evidenced by places like chicago, st louis, NYC, and other democrat run stronghold cities.

I don't really trust the gov't. But no - in no way would I ever trust the idea that anyone could just bring a gun on a plane.

Good lord.

How many of that 6,542 where in check baggage where TSA claims they were not in the proper container?

I wondered that as well. With more states reciprocating where CC is concerned several people are more inclined to take their firearms with them. It’s a pain to do all that TSA requires but you can’t miss any steps.

The impression that the Mind Molders (nee journalists) are trying to leave is that all of these incidents were people trying to carry a gun into the cabin, which might be, that TSA is keeping us safe, but I doubt it is reality.

How many of the 6,542 resulted in charges?

How many in convictions?

That we are allowed so little information is a good signal that this is propaganda not journalism.

I’m sure some were. Probably most, even. I know a lot of rednecks. But it would be interesting to see the breakdown of the numbers.

I still hate TSA.

One thing worse that being shot dead is being inconvenienced.
Shot dead, your troubles are over.
Inconvenienced, they're just beginning.

I encourage you to take note that the journalism is so low quality that it must be on purpose......that is higher on the hierarchy than is "Oh, that would have been interesting to know".

So you are endorsing people should be allowed to carry guns on airplanes, great idea, sure the next shooter out there looking to get attention would agree with you

Yeah, that will work well on planes, imagine the feeling bordering a plane when the guy infront of you is visibly carrying a Glock

What really cracks anyone up is that all these self defense guys always cite Chicago or NYC as reasons why they feel threatened, like any one of them’s understanding of either place goes beyond a TV cops and robbers show reinforced by Fox

And that “your own safety” logic to carry guns worked out well when Stephen Paddock started shooting
