Trump’s violent political rhetoric is metastasizing in the Republican Party

They kept getting caught cheating in elections

So the consent decree kept being re implemented

35 fucking years

Then Roberts set them free

They cheated again

But now they don’t get punished much for it

Violent and threatening political rhetoric, normalized and encouraged by former president Donald Trump, is metastasizing in the Republican Party. As nearly a third of GOP voters tell pollsters that violence might be required to “save our country,” some officeholders and candidates who espouse menacing views are rewarded with fundraising and social media success. Too often, mainstream party leaders — the very voices who should be drawing the line at hate speech — are silent.

They seek violence in an attempt to destroy democracy

Where Does American Democracy Go From Here?

Sarah Longwell: I agree. When I co-founded Republicans for the Rule of Law in 2018, I looked at Trump’s victory in 2016 and thought, OK, this is an accident of history. I would have told you that Trump is a cancer on the party, but if you cut him out, you know, there’s enough institutional memory that the party will bounce back. But Trump metastasized, right? He reconstituted much of the party in his image. In 2022, there are hundreds of mini-Trumps running for office.

The chemotherapy (trump) killed the patient (the Republican Party)

I remember some republicans said they did it (vote trump) to change the party after the Bush disastors

The bolded is such backwards logic.

You know that investigations are expensive, right? Trump's own DHS already looked into it & said it was the most secure election in history, and his own AG said it was legit.

I think you're a good American, MD - but you're in the cult. You're not hearing anything else except for the bogus fraud stuff.

You think Matt Dillon is a Good American?

Wow! You seem to have a low bar for what it takes to be a good American. Do you honestly think habitual liars, people who intentionally spread Russian propaganda, people who intentionally spread conspiracy theories, or anti-democracy Trump Puppets spreading lies about the 2020 election, make Good Americans?

Russia Russia Russia

You really hate it when your evil heros get caught being fucking evil

Eat shit

Trump wants to be America's first fascist dictatorship!
And the Republicans are on board!

Looks like the Washington Compost is starting to shit bricks.

"Those are not isolated examples. Mr. Trump was reported to have been “delighted” by actual violence — his rioting supporters breaching the Capitol on Jan. 6 last year. And when Rep. Paul A. Gosar (Ariz.) tweeted an anime video doctored to portray him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), just two fellow Republicans voted for a resolution to censure him in the House of Representatives.

History provides abundant evidence that rhetorical violence begets actual violence. By countenancing vile, dehumanizing, bloody-minded rhetoric, Republicans are paving a dangerous road to the future."

Trump did not and does not condone the rioting on Jan 6th, 2021.
You are still trying to make up shit about this event that happened over a year ago.

I don't even want to see some video of killing AOC, because that's pointless and beyond the pale; But yeah, when Democrats cheat elections and there is no real rule of law, it may take violence to put America back on the right track.

OP has paywall link. Fuck you with that! :fu:

I very well might. Sad that it might turn out that way, but Democrats seem to feel they can just get away with what they are doing without consequences.

It takes a true callousness to ignore the pain and misery the Democrats have caused. They do not realize the danger of the election fraud they are doing. If people can no longer trust elections, there is only one other recourse. It ain't pretty.
