Trump tweeted a chart of wildly inaccurate crime statistics, just a day after his supporters physically assaulted a black man at one of his rallies.

The statistics, purported to be gathered by a "Crime Statistics Bureau" in San Francisco this year, appear to be fabricated.

The "Crime Statistics Bureau" cited in Trump's tweet does not exist.

The FBI, which does gather official crime statistics for the U.S., has not yet released them for this year.

Last year's FBI statistics show that the numbers in Trump's tweet are incorrect.

In 2014, about 82 percent of murders involving white victims were committed by other white people, while only 14 percent were committed by black people, according to the FBI.

Among murders involving black victims, just under 90 percent were committed by other black people, while 7 percent were committed by white people.

There doesn't appear to be any such organization as the "Crime Statistics Bureau." There is a Bureau of Justice Statistics, which is a federal organization and is, therefore, based in Washington.

Fact-checking Donald Trump's questionable 'USA Crime Statistics' tweet broken down by race

The statistics that Trump seemed to support had a huge margin of error: by about 66%, for both claims. From the FBI's 2014 report on U.S. homicides, of the 3,021 Caucasian murder victims, 2,488 of their assailants were white, or 82%.

Trump's statistics ring just as wrong for whites killed by blacks. While the fear-mongering graphic claims it's at 81%, it's really 15%, according to the FBI's statistics— much less than the mogul's tweet would suggest.

The other "data" suggested blacks killed by whites were at 2% while blacks killed by blacks were at 97%. Again, wrong.

The real numbers behind blacks killed by whites in 2014 are at least three times more than Trump's tweet suggested, at 7%. Blacks killed by blacks are more than 10% less than the bogus numbers in the presidential candidate's tweet.

The image itself could be based off of phony numbers. While it's cited from San Francisco's "Crime Statistics Bureau" as data from 2015, the city's annual police reports end at 2014and do not break down homicides by race.

The tweet was originally sent by @SeanSean252 in a threaded argument about white supremacists to support his point of view. In replies to Trump's controversial tweet, users have called him out on sharing the bogus numbers as if they were fact.

Joking , he was just tweeting racist propaganda as a joke, to see if anyone was paying attention.
Unless of course this drags out over the next few days. At which time it will be revealed that the tweet came from a staffer who Trump subsequently fired.

A black man was beaten and kicked at a Trump rally in Alabama on Saturday. He was repeatedly called a “nigger” and a “monkey” at the event.

On Sunday afternoon, Trump did his weird version of a manual retweet of an image depicting a man (in this context, assumed to be black), with a bandana over his face pointing a gun sideways towards a list of wholly fabricated statistics.

Finally, when the picture was reverse Google image searched, the only results were attributed to YouTube videos in Arabic, which featured a duplicated image of the man in the picture Trump shared.

It's more like something we would expect our racist friends StormX and chopped up liver to post.
I fully expect Trumps poll numbers to surge after this. Lol
