Trump's Team Looks Smarter on Russia

The motivation of the Deep State would be to protect their fiefdom -all Russian policy decisions have to be weighed against what the Intelligence community leadership analysis claims is their unique insights.

food for thought..

You segue wayed from Cohen to Greewald to make the Deep State point lol. I caught that.

Cohen is a leftie and is as authoritative on what makes the Ruskies tick as anyone.

Deep State is a conspiracy theory: I doubt there's another mysterious shadow government that operates inside of the one we elected. However, you have to be pretty naive to think there's not an amorphous cabal within the government that has its own interest in protecting the foreign policy status quo.

And no doubt, they are threatened by Trump.

Look at what's going on: Russia wasn't even on the national security radar until recently. Now it's like we're living through the Red Scare again. And the same president who removed Polands missle shield in 2009, moves military armaments close to the Russian border just weeks[!] before he leaves office.

Why?

I think because 'someone' wants to keep the Trump-Russian narrative going even after the inauguration when Piss Gate peters out [haha lol]. Someone is thinking ahead on this. Probably Obama, but who knows, really.

Because it's going to force Trump to call for the arms to be removed from the Russian border so the NYT and can shreik 'Putin's puppet!'; or, Trump will be forced to negotiate with Russia from a position of weakness. That is, Putin will tell Tillerson that Trump can go screw himself until NATO backs off his border.

Trump's hand will be forced and the charade moves on. Trump loves Russia, don't you know?

^ excellent post -you absolutely nailed it,and i'm still on my coffee with nothing to add.
Yes -ive started to notice Cohen. a voice of sanity in the anti-Russian hysterical sea; i need to make him a go to daily.

Deep State does describe -if not the conspiratorial part. Most bureaucrats want to protect their fiefdom-
I can't see why IC leadership is any different.

Less conflict with Russia is less Spy vs.Spy stuff too. Plus I would imagine the IC leadership is just as self-programed with
Russian boogeymen perspectives as the rest of us.

Good analysis all the way around on your part. When I read a well thought out post,i go back and study it again..with my coffee.

Nothing moves in my world till I've had coffee lol.

Including my brain.

There's almost certainly no video to care about. The whole issue is fictitious. It's agitprop intended to damage Trump.

I couldn't care less about Trump's pussy grabbing. I care tons about protecting our country, honoring the American workers and tax payers, improving our infrastructure, specifically our electrical grid, state of the art IT capabilities and upgrading our military's fleets. Our soldiers require military and battle worthy weapons and we need to hold states responsible for being in a state of readiness. Federal help should be available to ensure all states have what's necessary to survive.

Funny how the Trump chumps and right wing sycophants on this thread ignore this little factoid. Also, isn't it weird that the people so afraid of voter fraud are so ready to accept this elections results despite evidence of hacking (Putin approved or not)?

Putin hacked the corruption though lol.

“ExxonMobil is not interested in buying shares in other companies, because it does not allow us to fully do what we do best. We invest in Russia, not only money,” Tillerson said.
There is no question Tillerson was able to navigate the money oligarchs,as well as the Russian gov't.
But that shows nothing other then he was a effective in his dealing with Russia -it shows no corruption by Exxon/Tillerson

Amazing how a group of people who've always boasted and bragged about how much more loyal and patriotic for 'Murica they were than everyone else, have suddenly all just bent over and spread their asses wide open for Russia.

Your brain has to really be twisted and knotted up with hatred, to offer up your ass to this country's #1 adversary just because you so badly hate the candidate who ran against yours, all the while knowing full well your guy is in their back pocket.

The Republican Party is now officially the party of Russia.

Tillerson probably knows Russia as well or better than anyone in the government. And he's not an ideologue nor does he entertain any fantasies about how the world works. He's a brilliant pick.

The only downside with him is the potential for conflict of interest, but I'm sure congress will watch him like a hawk.

It's a risk worth taking as far as I'm concerned.

Condi Rice was picked in part because she was an expert on Russia-
but she had nowhere near the experience Tillerson has.

Now that we've once again established that Russia does matter (unlike Obama's derision of Romney's claim on that) -
I can't think of a better pick either

Watch him like a hawk... maybe to find out exactly when to buy/sell Exxon stock.
