Clearly, lies should not be allowed to stand.
I am not going to compare my situation, with that faced by brown people and immigrants from "shit hole" countries, but I have some first hand knowledge of the demonization of immigrants. It always starts with, and find fertile ground with rightwing nationalists, white trash, and buck toothed rednecks.

That is where the right has once again been played by Trump, border security is not the Wall or nothing, in fact, the funds pissed away on a "big beautiful shinny wall" could be spent better addressing other border security needs.

The Wall or nothing is not the only solution, Trump has his base convinced the Wall is the only answer, no Wall, no border security, when in fact the Wall is totally an ego thing, or as Pelosi put it perfectly, "a manhood thing" for Trump. Let him piss away his own money to appease his juvenile urges

His own Chief of Staff put it perfectly, "And by the way, the bottom line is the fence doesn't stop anybody who really wants to get across,"

Border security is not the same thing as fear-mongering and dehumanizing entire demographics of people.

You do not have to demonize, dehumanize, engage in bigotry, racism, and xenophobia to be able to talk about reasonable and humane border control and immigration practices from "shit hole" countries.

It says a lot about a person who attempts to conflate border control with fear mongering and dehumanization.

I agree. We don't even have to know what they actually look like - their hateful words identify them. It's safe to say these terrible things here. Don't you think that most of the ones who are spreading hate on this place would be very polite in person if they were face-to-face with the ones they demonize anonymously?

Or we could spend billions on more effective measures to secure our borders than pissing away money on a wall just to appease some baby's ego
