Then he was being more deceitful than the average politician. The man is totally clueless about how government works. He has a short attention span that translates to a stunning level of superficial knowledge and outright ignorance. He gets his news from TV sound bites. That's how he can make stupid comments like "I know more about ISIS than the generals."

But to be fair to you, I doubt the UK gets all the news about him that we have. America's known about the grifter for decades.

Well as I said a few times, I think he will act more like a CEO and hopefully appoint good people. It seems to me that all along people have underestimated him and been proved wrong. I think he should be given a chance to show what he can do, or not, as the case may be.

I believe, and I could be wrong, that he did that because it was impossible for him to raise the same collosal sums as HRC or indeed to have her media backing. Now you could just characterise him as a latter Chauncey Gardener but I think he did that deliberately and is a damn sight more astute than many realise. Yes he is naive politically but I am sure he will learn quickly.
