Exactly.. Trump is promoting the idea that immigrants are walking across the desert where there are no roads to get into the US or smuggle drugs.

More technology AND severe penalties for employers (like Trump) who hire illegal immigrants. Wouldn't hurt to beef up E-Verify too.

Yet no mention of the illegals that come over without permission. Interesting that you don't want to punish them.

When those illegals are found, put them in similar type housing as FDR did to citizens of the U.S. with Japanese heritage. Feed them tainted food and let them drink water from Flint, MI. That should solve the problem quickly.

Trump is now indicating that he will keep the government shutdown EVEN if he declares a national emergency. He wants it to remain closed while the issue is resolved through the courts. If he goes this route impeachment should definitely follow.

How much would you opine Pelosi and the Democrats are hurting people? They could cut a deal but offer nothing.

They had a deal with the house, the Senate and Trump all agreeing. One person pulled out. One person, Trump. The government would have been open till some time in February, That would have provided stress free time to negotiate for a longer and better deal. It was Trump who pulled out and Trump who said he would be proud to shut down the government. It was Trump, just Trump, only Trump.

Trump and the reds are leaking polling points. They needed an issue. The wall is the one they picked. They need to win it, whatever that looks like. The shut down is boosting the leaking. They thought it would help them.
