In a baffling turn of events, the Donald Trump-appointed federal judge overseeing his Mar-a-Lago classified documents debacle appears to have placed the case on warp speed—setting a trial just two months away.
On Monday morning, federal court records showed that U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon created what's referred to as a “rocket docket” to speed his trial through the system.
Cannon issued an order stating that the most historic criminal trial in American history will commence Aug. 14. That’s just 55 days away, while most federal trials take up to a year or more as both sides prepare for an epic showdown in court.

Later in the article it notes that Cannon 'did trump a favor' by beginning the trial before his campaign really heats up.

I find it amusing, as this was trump's only defense strategy...postpone/delay/postpone/delay.

What you people can never bring yourselves to admit but is completely obvious to us normal people is you dont actually give a shit about anything you think trump did. The ONLY thing you care is trying to stop a political opponent from running. Perhaps she's attempting to be impartial because she has absolutely no intention of sentencing trump to prison when this slam dunk case ends.

Your kind of mentality and attitude is the NO. 1 Reason why most Americans want to see Trump held responsible for his own actions.

There must be an example set for people who has no respect for Democracy, the Rule of Law, the office of the presidency, integrity, reality, or the truth.

When you lose sight of all of those things, YOU NEED A NEW EXAMPLE OF HOW all of these things are essential, relevant, and necessary in a civil world!

And what happens to you when you JUST DON'T CARE- and put your politics and your selfish self-important gratifications and egregious abuse of power above everything else!

I think 2 criminal indictments are just that, indictments. They are accusations, allegations, charges. Nothing more nothing less. If you can prove them then you sqwark but let's be honest, you guys have a shitty track record. I'm almost rooting for you guys this time. trump's personal attorney Barr refused to bring charges against trump because POTUS is above the law.

trump single handedly exposed the glaring flaws in the Founders' blueprint. It was always assumed that POTUS would be an honorable man, so certain rules/regulations were left unstated.

From the first day in office, trump instructed counsel to show him exactly where the lines were drawn between what is legal and illegal.

And then he chose to break the law, relying on his personal attorney Jabba The Barr for protection.
