Trump’s indictment plus candidacy could endanger democracy and the rule of law

I never claimed to be an expert, but I can read.

What was the purpose of the 14th amendment disqualification clause?

The U. S. Attorney did not include such a provision in the indictment because Congress passed no law disqualifying any person.

No one has needed disqualification until trump came around.

You were told in no uncertain terms 7 years ago that you are not allowed to vote for Trump.

This time you will obey.

What you wanted would never have been ratified. Even the document submitted had to be amended to be accepted.

That's pretty much what I'm saying--our constitution is total shit to any learned critic.

It had to be in order to unite diverse, incompatible colonies
that had no business being incorporated into the same new nation.

That's how we ended with the shit show that we have now.

Not correct. Nixon needed it. He asked the Vietnamese to not agree with American negotiators until after the election. The deal was done. If he won, he would give them a better deal at the table. LBJ said it was treasonous and he called Dirkson, the Repub leader and talked about it. They agreed it was treason, but decided to do nothing in public. https://lbjtapes.org/conversation/treason
