Trump's descent into dementia

That'd be the most probable cause. There's certainly something wrong with him that used to be masked with Adderall or speed but now appears to be so advanced that the drugs aren't working anymore....or his health is so frail they can't handle the drugs at risk of a heart attack.

He also has no idea what's true or real and what's not -- just like all his deplorable supporters.

Agreed, which is why I think there's a good chance he'll have a public meltdown if enough pressure is applied to him.

Some of his followers may follow suit.

It doesn't matter where you watch it. All of those things are true. Trump has dementia.

I am not so sure. I think he has and has always had mental problems. He never grew up. He is criminally selfish and disrespectful of anything that does not profit him. He is the worst user I have ever seen. He is not smart.

This is the "I know I am but what are you?" strategy of the Democrats where they admit that pResident 50 First Weekends at Bernie's is actually showing signs of age (actual brain death) but they say, "So is <insert name here>!"

Again I submit that the "They do it too!" strategy is actually a confession and this "Ignore what you own eyes see and believe what I want you to believe!" gaslighting campaign will be laughed at, continuously and quite acrimoniously.

Some actual footage of a Democrat making this argument:

Was that irony or intentional hypocrisy? You're in a thread about Trump's dementia and all you and your kind have said is that Biden has it too.

That's true, but he's also utterly incoherent. Any transcript looks like a botched Google translation from Martian to English.

Sorry, it’s my opinion and I think you, by voting third party at this time are turning your back on the Republic. You won’t change my mind. A third party vote helps Trump.

That, unfortunately, is true. I learned my lesson the hard way in 2016.

Hello Althea,

Oh, he is in serious jeopardy of going to prison. Running for office is no excuse. No person is above the law. Besides, he is legally ineligible to hold office. No office, no pardon. He thinks he can delay convictions until he gets into office and then give himself a big fat free pardon. Problem is, he has to get into office to do that. That is by no means assured. He could very well lose the election, and have to face the courts regardless of running.

His number one excuse to get out of being convicted goes away on November 5.
Being found guilty is quite possible. Being elected is not.

There is a lot of discussion re. logistics of imprisoning someone with a SS detail. Many have said that he might get house arrest, which should be served in one of his shithole hotels instead of Mar A Lago.

Of course, a guilty verdict means nothing in Cannon's court, as she will refuse to sentence him to anything but probation.

It looks like the most severe penalty will be getting fined and kicked out of NY.

He also has no idea what's true or real and what's not -- just like all his deplorable supporters.
It could be argued that his entire life has been spent in fantasy land. His deranged father drove one son to drink himself to death, and the other son to be an incompetent narcissist.

trump never paid for any of his mistakes. He's the classic 'born on third base and thinks he hit a triple'.

Agree 100%.

Unfortunately, the only thing he has ever been very good at is self promotion coupled with grifting. He lost millions for investors, but always skimmed off the top first.

I always thought the same about $arah Palin's infamous word salads, too. If you listen to either Palin or Trump speaking w/o a teleprompter, on some level they make sense. It's your brain's ability to take bits of something and fill in the blanks to create a whole, like when you look at a scene through a rain-covered window. But when you read the transcript, it becomes random garbage. Martian to English -- bwahahahaha!

Right after he took office, people were posting daily transcripts of his word salad, as it was unbelievable.

Now we've grown accustomed.

In other news...did anyone see M. Geico Greene reference 'indictable' as 'indicktable' while reading a prepared statement yesterday?

There are a lot of moving parts here. There are different reasons for throwing a vote away for sure. Some are so deluded, they believe:
A. Their candidate has a chance to win

B. Their candidate is qualified for office.

Others simply make a statement by throwing away their vote. In Doc's case, he hurts trump by making a statement. In a Red state, his vote would otherwise go to the Republican no matter how bad the candidate is. trump is just a bridge too far.

I'm sure we can agree that all elections are decided by a small handful of states. In those states, every vote counts and your premise rings true. In most states, the outcome is always 100% predictable.

However, IMO voting third party lumps you in with millions of fools who know absolutely nothing about the issues. At least, that's what the candidates see when they analyze data.

In '16, I simply didn't vote for POTUS. I made the decision long before the primaries were over. It was more of a boycott of the system, as I was disgusted by the way Congress moved to undermine Obama every single day. I came to realize that POTUS is often a figurehead with limited ability to achieve anything.

Living in NY, I had that luxury as Clinton won handily. I did vote down ballot.

When politicians analyze the data, they see me as apathetic instead of delusional, and believe that there must be a way to get me to vote. Perhaps they figure they need to offer better candidates. Third party voters will never recover from their delusions, in the eyes of the data crunchers.

Of course, trump proved that it DOES matter who POTUS is, but my refusal to vote did nothing to alter that outcome.

As an aside, I have a long time message board friend who always voted third party when he lived in California. He too had that luxury.

He moved to Pa a handful of years ago, and fully recognizes the need to vote Democrat. And he does.

I would be receptive to that argument. I'm pretty sure Trump always had plenty of food to eat (he certainly looks that way anyway), a better-than-nice home, never rode in a school bus, and never got his ass righteously beat because his daddy had money.

Then that psychopath died and gave his silver-spooned, whiny baby his money leading Baby Bitch Trump to think he had accomplished something in his life.

He's never accomplished anything except hosting a reality TV show; paying someone else to write a book with his name on it; raping, molesting, harassing, and insulting women; and losing the popular election to the most disliked political figure in recent history in order to win the presidency and destroy the US's reputation across the globe. Trump is a loser, and all his supporters are idiots.

Knowing it's a lie.

What they should say is that Biden's age is showing in his gait and posture and that he displays remnants of a lifelong stutter. But of course, there has never been an honest MAGAt, so they like to deflect, exaggerate, and repeat whatever else FoKKKs told them to say.

That's funny. I was just talking to a Trump voter on Wednesday about Baby Bush and how his inability to pronounce words (remember "nucular"?) or form a coherent sentence mortified me during those years. Who knew it could get worse? So much worse that I would rather have 4 more years of GWB than 1 more day of Trump.
