And yet, for some weird reason he still has a reasonable chance of winning the next election. In fact, I'd say as that chance increases, watch for more charges to be filed... Really strange how the more the radical Left goes after him, the better he does in the polls...
This is a standard ploy of the radical Left by the way. When they can't win at the polls, can't get the public to buy into their insane crap, they resort--in a free and fair nation--to the courts where they shop lawyers, prosecutors, and judges to get them to somehow find in the law what they want and make it stick regardless of how insane and convoluted the legal thinking is to do that.
A good example is gay marriage. The Left initially claimed they would abide by the outcome of the popular vote on this. In 35 states they put it on the ballot. They didn't win a single vote, not one. That made them insanely outraged, and they went to court, shopped judges, and got their way by judicial fiat. In California--CALIFORNIA--the lost on a state constitutional amendment to allow gay marriage and by a wide margin. The judge that overturned that was gay and a vocal advocate for gay marriage!
That's how the Left rolls.
