Donald Trump says he'll 'build a great wall' after reports he was waffling on his immigration position

Donald Trump on Tuesday appeared to reiterate his support for a physical wall along the US-Mexico border after days of speculation about whether he would support his previous immigration policies.

In a tweet Tuesday morning, the Republican presidential nominee reaffirmed his support for a wall and teased a speech on immigration he's set to deliver on Wednesday.

"From day one I said that I was going to build a great wall on the SOUTHERN BORDER, and much more. Stop illegal immigration. Watch Wednesday!" Trump wrote.

Though immigration has been a major theme of his campaign, in recent weeks the real-estate magnate and his campaign have waffled on some of the central premises of Trump's immigration pitch to Republican primary voters. The campaign has sent mixed signals about whether Trump still supports creating a deportation force to forcibly remove over 10 million immigrants living in the US without permission.

Some campaign surrogates have seemed to back away from the promise to build a wall along the Southern border. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani suggested in an interview this week that some of the wall would have digital features; last month, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry promised a similar virtual wall.

But in an interview on "Fox and Friends" on Tuesday, Trump spokesman Jason Miller reaffirmed that the wall would be physical.

"There's going to be a physical wall," Miller said. "There will be a physical wall on the Mexico border, and, as we know, Mexico is going to pay for it."

LOL, the problem certainly can't be the conflicting bs from the trumpf now could it..??

His signals of flipping & flopping didn't go over to well w/ the nativists...

When he finally admits there will be no wall, you remember that clip.......

I seem to recall he even specified how much concrete and rebar would be used. Is that virtual concrete and rebar?

September 2, 2016 - "Donald Trump talks tough about the cartels, but his policies are tailor-made to increase their profits," Tom Wainwright, author of "Narconomics" and previously The Economist's reporter in Mexico City, told Business Insider earlier this year.

"He talks a crackdown at the border, but crossing the border is what they do best. It's where their advantage lies — that's where they make their money. That's why drugs cost so much more in the States than they do in Mexico," he said.

Americans spent more than $100 billion on illegal drugs in 2010, according to a White House study, and many of those drugs get a substantial markup because of the difficulty involved in getting them to the consumer.

A border wall may raise the prices of drugs, but it "won't do much to reduce consumption, because people who are addicted to drugs on the whole aren't very responsive to prices," Wainwright said. "So all it will succeed in doing is inflating the value of the criminal economy."

In the case of cocaine, the price goes from a few hundred dollars, for the coca leaves needed to make it in Colombia, to "more like $150,000 per kilo," when it retails on US streets, Wainwright told Business Insider, a price that would likely rise with a border wall.

"I think if the cartels could vote, they would vote for Donald Trump. His policies suit them down to the ground," Wainwright added."

according to this article that says the cartels would like trump it means that the cost of drugs would increase by a lot since it costs more to transport it accross the wall and the cartel has specialized knowledge to do it. Is that not a good thing? If less people can afford drugs then less would use?

It's easy to see how he can get Mexico to pay for it. That is unless you're an economic retard like all liberals are. Kudos to Trump for not revealing how, and keeping them all buzzing.

Trumpf is now in a twitter war with the Mexican presidente Nieto.
How" presidentally diplomatic".
What's next? Will he trash and bully him on Facebook?
