Try looking at the polarization of the american electorate and you will see we are at a level of polarization that has never existed before. These numbers cannot be viewed in a vaccuum, especially with the irrationality of the liberal perception of trump. More importantly if you look at your own link you'll notice obama was 38% in 2011 and one year later was still able to turn that around into an electoral victory. 36% with years out in front really doesn't mean as much as you think it does when it comes to electoral politics.

Electoral politics and data analysis is my bread and butter. I'd be careful arguing about me when it comes to this stuff. I'll crush you.

Data analysis is what I do for a living .. and the glaring fact you left out of your 'analysis' is that Obama hit 38% after 3 years in office and never looked back. The orange clown that you voted for was at 36% during what should have been his honeymoon. NO sitting president has ever been this beleaguered, attacked, and rejected as the orange clown that you support. In fact, NO sitting president has ever been as lost and confused as the orange clown that you support. NO sitting president has ever had to hear the word 'impeachment' in under 120 days in office.

There's much more hilarity to add, and I have absolutely ZERO concern about you 'crushing me.' Surely you must be joking.

If the effect of polarisation (gerrymandering, actually) of American politics produces the presidency of a naïve, self-worshipping clown who wants to be eternal dictator, you have a choice - either put him in an asylum or get ready to live in a surrealist world until he destroys it.
