If you pay taxes to fund the military that's because the Constitution specifically delegates the government to spend tax money on the military. Where does the Constitution give the government specific authority to fund food stamps?

I checked my state's food stamp work requirements, you only get 3 months if you don't work 20 hours a week and of course are able-bodied.

In my state, the limit is 3 months in a 36 month period unless they meet a work requirement (several ways to reach the 80 hour monthly minimum) or get an exemption.

The exceptions include being physically or mentally unable to work, residing in a household receiving food stamps where someone is under 18, or pregnant.
