The Constitution doesn't support social welfare. In fact, it doesn't authorize it.
If you pay taxes to fund the military that's because the Constitution specifically delegates the government to spend tax money on the military. Where does the Constitution give the government specific authority to fund food stamps?
Correct. The constitution never mentions the welfare system or anything like it. By the tenth amendment, welfare is a state matter. Same with education and health care. 99% of what the feds do is in brazen conflict with the tenth amendment.
