Trump tweets picture of himself eating taco bowl, exclaims "I love Hispanics!"

Look at 1, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Click on the link for an expansion of the remarks.

Frankly I don't know who Trump does like besides conservative white men. He's doing a great job of alienating everyone else.

It's like Hillary Clinton calling a small subset of people 'super predators' and then claiming she hates all blacks as a result

I can't believe a libertarian would support Trump with all the government programs he supports, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Single Payer healthcare, he is anti choice.

He just has a lot of very unlibertarian positions.

You sure about that?

“I’m totally pro-choice.” (Fox News, October 31, 1999)

“Look, I’m very pro-choice. I cringe when I listen to people debating the subject, but you still—I just believe in choice. I am pro-choice in every respect.” (NBC News, October 24, 1999)

“I’m pro-life.” (CPAC, February 10, 2011)

“I am very, very proud to say that I’m pro-life.” (Cleveland, Ohio, August 6, 2015)

Far be it for me to stand up for Trump but those individual incidents don't necessarily mean he doesn't love Hispanics. Because he kicked Jorge Ramos out of a press conference means he dislikes all Hispanics?

It does to KKKhristiefan

She isn't a very deep thinker

I can't believe you guys are using a comment she made 20-odd years ago as the example to rebut Trump's comments. Especially after cons and the Willie Horton business.

"Why did Bill Clinton want a crime bill in the first place? Two reasons. The first was substantive: There was a lot of crime back then. More than double the current rate. There was a legitimate public demand for action.

Second, Democrats had long been pegged as soft on crime, hampering their electoral prospects. A shadow hanging over the Democrats in the 1992 campaign was the infamous Willie Horton scandal. The losing 1988 Democratic presidential candidate, Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis, was pilloried for a furlough program that allowed the convicted murderer, who was serving a life sentence, to viciously rape a woman and torture her fiancé."

I'm not rebutting Trump's comments. I'm saying you can make certain comments about individuals or a small group of people without disliking the whole group.

That saying about "perception becomes reality"... I suspect many Latino voters will consider Trump's comments on a visceral level.

I'm sure Hispanic voters will see his comment and shake their heads in disgust. We weren't talking their response though

I was talking about Hispanic voters.

To give another example, if I were a republican listening to Trump's comments about women I'd be very wary of voting for him. He leave me with the perception that he doesn't have a lot of respect for women, no matter how he tries to justify his remarks.
