On Tuesday, there will be up to four hours equally divided between the impeachment managers and Donald Trump’s counsel to present arguments on the constitutionality of the trial. The Senate will then vote on whether it has jurisdiction to try the former president, and if a simple majority votes in favor (as expected), the trial will proceed.

Starting Wednesday at noon EST, there will be up to 16 hours per side for impeachment managers and Trump’s team to present their case. Each side must use their time over no more than two days, and each day’s presentation cannot exceed eight hours.

After both presentations, senators will have a total of four hours to question both parties.

There will then be two hours for arguments on whether to consider motions to subpoena witnesses and documents.
If the Senate votes in favor of subpoenas, both parties will then be allowed to depose witnesses and conduct discovery.
There will then be four hours of closing arguments before deliberations and a vote on the article of impeachment.

Great fun. Biden is President and Trump getting roasted again.

How is he getting roasted when it's the democrats who look like fools.

History will show them as the party who does nothing but file meaningless impeachments.

Nice try. History will show Trump was the worst President in US history. There is still suspicion he was working for Russia.

Hardly since history doesn't take into account feelings only the numbers which are simply average to good.

By the way I thought he was going to Prison as soon as he wasn't president so what's your hold up on filing those charges?

Or were you liberals lying as you usually do?

Trump will easily be judged the worst by historians.

Trump will easily be judged the worst by historians.

Hardly lol.

This hate you idiots have doesn't carry forward in history books, only facts do.

Kids will read about how the left treated Trump and actually be stunned and frightened at the same time.

"So Mrs. Teacher, they actually hated Trump because he posted messages on that Twitter thing"?

"That's right Becky, they were horrible times and we need to be thankful we no longer have that kind of hate and anger in our politics anymore."

Dems will move on to more unconstitutional moves. Like a bill of attainder. One of the very reasons we left England and the parliament way. Watch. It's coming. More lawlessness.

I can assure you they don’t see it that way lol.

Ever since January 2017 the left has convinced themselves that ‘everybody hates Trump’ yada yada. That’s not even close to being true. Apart from 75 million Trump supporters there are independents—and even some democrats, that don’t have a visceral hatred for Trump. They may not care for his style of leadership or his use of Twitter but many of them *agreed with his policies*. Even if they didn’t vote for him. It’s a fact that Trump, himself, lost many potential Trump voters.

In fact, there’s a good chance that Trumpism without Trump could be a winning formula in future elections.

At any rate, the point is that the ‘visceral hatred’ crowd is a minority relative to the rest and this repeachment nonsense by Democrats is going to leave them cold.

I’ll say this: it’s early, but if Biden and the Democrats stay the course of the first few weeks—they are headed for a midterm shellacking. Likely a big one.

I hope they convict his piece of human waste, you can't just brush the attack on our capitol under the rug?!! It is time for the republican party to move on beyond Trump?!! There can not be unity without accountability, if Trump gets a pass on this insurrection, this could happen again?!! Lets hope there are 17 republican senators with some balls and courage to convict!

Trump has made the GOP a minority party for years.

How soon they come back will depend on how soon they are willing to distance themselves from Trump, Trumpism, and conspiracy.

He was our worst President. By a mile.

You know very little about our past presidents.

We've had presidents that have owned slaves and you prefer them over Trump?

So you have no issue owning slaves apparently.

That is sad.

That is bound to happen anyway according to history.

Rushing this impeachment the way they did with not even any testimony or investigation or presented evidence makes them look extremely incompetent.

They don't care about impeaching the correct way because they were rushed to get it in before he left office.

Extremely juvenile.
