The White House is a historical piece of architecture. You can't just willy nilly add a gawdy Trump style ballroom to it. It would be historical graffiti. Put it somewhere else in Washington. Hell, I'm sure there are plenty of ballrooms you can rent in Washington that don't involve defacing the White House.

The only consideration that should be had is if it is good for the American people. If it is, it should be built at taxpayer expense. A rich person shouldn't try to buy the American nation with a GDP of 17 trillion at the pittance of a 100 million dollar ballroom. It's disgusting.

Im not for it or against it. I mean its a restroom so it doesnt really rate that high in my concerns. The only benefit I can see is that when we get our first woman GOP president in 2024 (Ivanka Trump) she may be used to a certain level of opulence that the white house may not have. It might make her transition easier.
