I can't recall what my thinking/conclusions were @ the time of reading post #1 but it seems it would be a fruitless exercise~ mostly absorbed in the tale/example rather than the merits vs possible faults of voting by mail so I didn't post in it.......

I dunno if it is a tale but I thought the issue of voting by mail more important than if it were a story or not.....

I would also add my semi-related experience about 15 years ago, which I have shared a few times over the years..

I often don't pick up my mail & had to go down to the Post Office & pick it up in a big tub..

When I got home & started sorting I came across my neighbors tax packet-not the ones you get from the IRS, it was his sealed return-MAILED TO THE IRS IN UTAH......

He is always pissed off about something but I went over & dropped it on his porch as it Rottweiler was out & he wasn't home.. I called him........

Needless to say he went over to the PO office two days in a row to vent & fortunately his tax payments & forms were received on time by the IRS........

I do have very poor eyesight, but i hastily looked at it. No excuses -but it is what it is

It was pointed out to me that was 100% wrong and on the same thread on the same day I said it was mistaken.
