Well for one thing it is NOT the LIBS that are putting tariffs on just about everything we buy it IS Trump and his MAGA followers back him on it.
It is Trump that is the one hurting the American Businesses and Consumers with his tariffs,
I don't know what kind of profit margins Walmart or any other retail business are working on but if it isn't as high as Trumps tariffs how do you expect them to eat the tariffs?
If they did " eat the tariffs "and the tariffs are higher then their profit margin they will be out of business in no time, You NEED to make a profit to stay in business.
So in order for some companies to be able to stay in business they are going to have to pass at least part if not all the tariffs on to the consumer.

Some business will HAVE to pass at least part of those tariffs on to the consumer or go out of business.

And again we do NOT have the infrastructure in the USA to make everything here and have it be 100% American made and it would take years and years to get it built.
And in the mean time Trump's tariffs are going to hurt not only retail companies but the consumer too.
To include we dont have the human capital...people with the ability and willingness to do the work.

And Trump has done that, He is getting some companies to bring some manufacturing back to the US but in the mean time he is going to hurt a lot of people.
Several auto companies have already started to pull out of the US, Farmers are worried they may have to go bankrupt and maybe out of business, Longshoremen are being laid off, truckers can't get loads and are being laid off too, and more.
it is going to hurt a lot of people before we get the infrastructure built to be able to make things here 100% American made.
