Trump takes lead in national polls

Following a great speach by Trump and the RNC convention, Trump takes a national lead over Clinton for 1st time. I'll be it small, but its still significant considering he was down by over 10 just a few months ago.

Perhaps this is why libs are freaking out and grasping at straws?

This also comes on the heals of leaked dem emails, and turmoil with Sanders supporters at the DNC convention. A convention that is looking like a bust.

So Don takes the lead. Is this is a temporary blip, or will the lead maintain grow?
 
I understand this is a political board and this is an issue people like to discuss but why not wait until both conventions are over and see where things stand then?

Its fun for me to discuss polls, but I agree that the polls will take a leap in significance in about a week.

From what I can tell, Trump got a 2-4% bounce from his convention, and I expect HRC to get about the same or a little bit better, but bounces are not worth much, because by definition they are a bounce, the numbers go up, then down.

What is more concerning for me as a HRC supporter is that there was a trend before the RNC toward Trump, I am hoping that the DNC will stop and reverse that trend. I don't care so much about if there is a bounce, I do hope however the trajectory is changed.
 
Or wait till they poll after his latest comments. People I know who were voting third party are now looking at Hillary!

I hope Trump keeps talking!

You can only hope people wise up as the possibility of a Trump presidency comes closer.

You mean his joke about Russia finding Hillary's lost emails? Ya'll are grasping if you think that will make any difference.

Plus Julian Assange, (Former lib hero, now enemy) has promised more email leaks.

With terrorist attacks happening now Daily, and this administration not taking it seriously, more people are wanting a tough leader.
 
Listening to ex-President Clinton and then to President Obama you realise just how far into the sewer Trump and his backers have dragged American political life compared even with the recent past.

Recent terrorist attacks have not had the effect of helping Comrade Trumpovitch. I think they are a reminder that we need a more serious sober less bombastic and reactionary leader.

No one likes Hillary except anti Trump fear mongering liberals. Hillary is a hypocritical phony, and any honest observer knows it.

She's a typical politician who has been irrationally demonized to the extreme. She's really a standard-issue politician in many ways - no more or less honest than that.

Trump, conversely, is a pathological liar and narcissist, who has no real record of helping people at all (Hillary does, btw). His record actually has more prominent examples of ruining the poor, working class people & small business owners.
