The blowhard billionaire's ongoing dominance of the Republican race for President through a relentless barrage of insults and fear-mongering has been accompanied by a surge of unabashed vitriol from his defenders.
In fact, the men and women bombarding the Daily News email accounts with obscene, racist, homophobic, xenophobic prejudice and sexist messages share a lot in common with their favorite candidate.
Trump supporters, like the candidate himself, struggle with grammar.
They dislike President Obama and are frequently preoccupied with his race.
They are afraid of Muslims, Mexicans and a lot of other people — indeed, fear is an overriding theme through most of the messages.
They also struggle with grammar — an issue that also frequently surfaces on Trump’s Twitter account.
Many of the semi-coherent emails don’t include an explicit pledge to vote for Trump. But given the rabid responses to The News’ ongoing coverage, it’s a reasonable assumption.
The following selection of emails gives a better idea of just who is supporting the real estate mogul and reality star — and just how they feel about the future of the nation.
The messages are uncensored, but The News has cut the names and email addresses of the senders.
