It's should be pretty obvious to anyone over 50 that both parties have shifted away from their principles and more into extremist/intolerance territory. That said, compared to other nations, the US is right wing and, most concerning to me, becoming more and more authoritarian. IMO, intolerance is the path to authoritarianism.
