Well, in 2020, I thought we were losing the Senate and then the Repubs helped us win it with their idiocy. I'm hoping the same thing can happen, nationally the next couple of cycles. It does not hurt to have hope. We know the Repubs are going to show their ass, we just hope it's severe enough to swing the vote.

A 50/50 Senate isn't what I consider a major win for either party. Independents dislike both parties. It's in their best interests to keep both parties weak by consistently voting against them. All things being equal some tend to lean Left or Right, but the main factor remains they don't agree with that party enough to become a member.

We'll see I guess. I feel the Republicans have so much overplayed their hand all at once that there is going to be a big pushback. This mass shooting stuff is not helping them politically, either.

Yes, but it still depends upon who also is running as we saw in 2016 and will likely see in 2024. In the end, people still tend to reelect the same people or for their party. The Independents vote for either best national interests and/or personal interests. They'll decide local elections.

While I advocate voting Libertarian, especially locally, most people will vote for either the "D" or the "R".
