At a recent rally in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, Donald Trump had a message for the women of America, whose support he’s been struggling to win back:
You’ll be happy and “no longer thinking about abortion” if he’s elected, he declared. “You will no longer be abandoned, lonely or scared,” he said…. “You will be protected. I will be your protector.”
The best response we’ve heard to this gag-worthy remark comes from Desi Lydic of the Daily Show, who cringed like a woman accosted by a sloppy drunk in a bar.
“Um, I’m actually meeting someone here…I have a boyfriend,” she said. “Thank you so much though.”
A close runner-up was Wonkette, a political blog: “Can all American women file a restraining order against Donald Trump? Is that a thing?”
