Trump says Second Amendment comment refers to 'political power'

Trump doesn't realize he's also talking to liberal democrats and so he needs to carefully explain to them what is obvious to every one else.....
 
The explanation doesn't wash. The context of the statement was a scenario where Hillary, already elected, makes judicial appointments. Trump declared there was nothing to be done. Then he semi-jokingly says the 2nd amendment people might be able to do something. Since the election can not be changed, the claim that he was referring to voting makes no sense at all. He either meant Hillary could be shot or the judges could be shot. Since shooting Hillary wouldn't change her judicial choices, the best interpretation of his remarks is that he was talking about the judges getting shot.
