YPSILANTI, Michigan/PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump, eager to get back on the road and make his case for re-election on Nov. 3, said on Thursday he may have to stage campaign rallies at outdoor sites until the coronavirus pandemic settles down enough for traditional events.
“We got to get back to the rallies,” Trump told reporters during a tour of a Ford auto plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan. "I think it's going to be sooner rather than later.”
With little more than five months left until the election, Trump is behind Democratic rival Joe Biden in national polls and in some battleground states, such as Michigan, which he won in 2016.
A senior campaign official said officials held a meeting last week and discussed how and when to resume the big campaign rallies that Trump craves.
“It’s clear, he’s chomping at the bit to resume the rallies,” the campaign official said.
The discussion was largely a brainstorming session with a lot of ideas raised, including having a rally that resembled a drive-in movie experience.

BTW, one of my nephews-in-law and his wife are missionaries in Brazil, where they live with their four kids. They all had COVID and thankfully survived. He says what's going on down there is horrendous, but he only speaks of it in private (email) because posting about it on social media is a very, very bad idea.

I would be pretty surprised to see many people at one if HIS rallies wearing masks or keeping proper distance from others. The cult all wants to crowd in as close as the cult leader as they can.
I would also be surprised if levels DON'T spike in rally regions just a few weeks after a rally.

What happened in Russia is actually pretty consistent with what Conservatives do. They rail against the elitists or, in this case, the "bourgeoisie" but also claim we need to get tough and use government power to kick out the elitists. Then once they're in power, they drastically grow the size of government for themselves.
I'm sure there are plenty of Communists who want true Communism, but the movement can very easily be hijacked by Fascists like the Bolsheviks.
