I support a strong, at least two party government. I love good debate, respect opposing ideas, know I don’t have all the answers, politicians use to mix, socialize, compromise. I truly hope that these new faces bring that back to our government.
I’m excited for Susan Brooks - R., to mentor the new Congresswomen and spread the bi-partisan love.
They wanted the ACA, by calling it Obamacare, they poisoned it. Poor uninformed Republicans thought the two were different, it was sad.Obamacare was good.. it stopped the escalation of healthcare costs which have been out of control for 30 years... and more people were covered.. It wasn't perfect, but it was a good start. People in the healthcare business understood it even if you don't.
Trump made lots of extravagant promises about healthcare (which he knows NOTHING about) and hasn't kept any of them.
So tell my why the polls on the wall matter when the polls on Obamacare didn't?
Trump said Mexico was going to pay for the wall, and he never said anything about begging American taxpayers to foot the bill.
As per usual, Trump lied his fat, flabby ass off.
Who cares they sure want it now. Credit your last congressional loss to a total gop screw up on healthcareThe country said in 2010 it didn't want Obamacare!! Did that matter to Obama...NOPE!
Daffy said the Vatican has a wall, so it must be a good idea. They built in in the 1640s. Back then it may have been useful. Anyone think the Vatican wall is a big deterrent now? The Chinese built an enormous long wall. The Mongols got around and through. Perhaps Trump thinks we should have moats and alligatiors. They worked long ago.
I am glad Americans are too smart to buy that stupid idea.

don't forget ID laws designed to keep voters from being able to participate in our Democracy

I think gerrymandering, the loss of the fairness doctrine, and the decline of our media (the Fox News effect) have poisoned our political institutions.
When a district is gerrymandered to ensure a Republican victory, it tends to favor an outcome for the most partisan, most rightwing candidate - one who has little fear of losing an election, and operates under the assumption that his/her only job is to represent the most partisan part of their base - rather than representing their district.

We could be witnessing the death of the Republican party. Greed, wealth-extraction and hatred do make a good platform.
Democrats better represent the real America. Diverse, struggling dedicated people who want to live in a harmonious society.
we will
and then there will be a realignment
between the Independent voters and the more conservative of the dem party.
the republican party will likely survive to some extent as the racist party
we will still end up with two major parties
its what American history shows over and over again when a party major dies
I don't want a wall.
I think it is a waste of money.
It would be a monument to hatred.
If he gets it, we should call it the 'Wall Of Shame.'
You know what could happen.
The Republican party implodes.
The Democratic party splits into two parties.
