Now stopping all flights from China harms the economy, but testing people getting off those flights does no harm to the economy. Keeping problems a secret, and allowing diseases to spread, does no good to the economy.

Who are you going to test and when? The entire public?

The normal method would be to test for fevers at major movement points, and then test anyone who has a fever to see if they have Coronavirus. That is the only way to have any hope of really containing the virus, without destroying the economy.

Also obviously, test anyone who has come into contact with a patient. That is one of the things the CDC used to be good at. Tracing infection paths is essential, but is little respected by Republicans.

It is spreading, which means bad things in our near future.

I think it is important that everyone remembers that the Republicans were pushing the theory we did not have to do anything to contain Coronavirus this November. We will know what we will know in November. Who knows, we might get lucky and they might be right. Or their complete lack of effort may get many killed.

Yes, you can. The many tests test for immune response. That is with you for life. The tests are great for tracing diseases back to their sources, and then out again to find new infection paths.
