Trump rebounds after polling slide

Polls are nearly meaningless at this point since we're in the dead space between the last election and the midterms. But pollsters have bills and need to eat too, so there's that.

That said, there was one number democrats should pay attention to: the +5 movement amongst independents.

Reason being, Trump's support numbers and the anti-Trump numbers might as well be set in concrete. In fact, if democrats got a do-over of Trump vs Clinton there's no good reason to think the electoral college result would be any different. I think even liberals are aware of this, at least intuitively, hence their disdain for the electoral college.

So clearly, independent numbers are the numbers to watch.

And since Charlottesville [which the left succeeded in making about Trump, even though he had nothing to do with it] Trump has been singing the independents tune. Imagine the lengths the media would have gone to in singing accolades to Obama had the Obama administration handled two successive major hurricanes with no glitches. Trump has proven to be an effective administrator and since independents, by definition, don't have a dog in the fight, they'll be more apt to 'see it', as it were.

Trump has reached across the aisle to democrats. Independents love that sort of thing; especially, if it's done in good faith. If Pelosi and Chuck [you] Schumer don't similarly act in good faith, independents are going to pick up on that.

And I get the idea Trump is aware of this. The man is consistently underestimated by his many enemies, but you don't pull off what Trump did without above average politics instincts.

He's also tamed down his Twitter account. He hasn't handed the left a Twitter-gift in weeks.

At any rate, the numbers we need to watch are the economic numbers. +3 GDP will all be ensure Trump a second term.

Because...independents.

No, retard.
Trump doesn't get a second term, he doesn't even finish his first term.

Considering libtards said he'd be in the teens and getting impeached/removed at this point. I'd say low to mid 40s have libs panicking.

Oh the humanity!
What's to be done?

Idiot.
No one gives a fuck.
Trump is already gone, he just hasn't left yet.

That's because you're desperate for validation.

Exactly what date did anyone give you about lower poll numbers or when he would be impeached?

Any intelligent reading of Trump and his poll numbers clearly demonstrate that they could drop again any moment.

His 2.5% 'rise' is his hurricane bounce. He acted semi-sane during the hurricane, though less than presidential .. thus a meager 2.5% bounce .. that you think the resistance is panicked about. :0) That's cute.

Trump has the LOWEST poll numbers in history AND still under investigation AND neither he nor the republican congress have accomplished much of anything.

... but you think we're panicking. :0)

i dont really see it as a rebound he has always been in this general area. It just doesnt feel that way because there is always a thread about "OMG NEW HISTORIC POLLING LOW!!!!"

Rasmussen has had him 'unhistorically low' for months and Rasmussen nailed the election.

But I don't waste bandwidth trying to make that point lol.

when you say that thought its still a matter of it being in the general margin of error of where he has always been so its not really a rebound. he has always been hovering around the 40 mark and thats a reflection on almost no democrats willing to approve of him.

You shouldn't. The fallacy of past practice. A type of Appeal to Tradition.

Another failure on your part.
