Trump produces his birth certificate

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm definitely pretty stoked.

Well liked, Trump? by who, all those people who love his stupid reality show?

And remember the not so great Donald Trump, his TV shows saved his ass!

Starting with the renovation of the Commodore Hotel into the Grand Hyatt with the Pritzker family, he continued with Trump Tower in New York City and several other residential projects. Trump would later expand into the airline industry (buying the Eastern Shuttle routes),[11] and Atlantic City casino business, including buying the Taj Mahal Casino from the Crosby family, then taking it into bankruptcy. This expansion, both personal and business, led to mounting debt.[12] Much of the news about him in the early 1990s involved his much publicized financial problems, creditor-led bailout, extramarital affair with Marla Maples (whom he later married), and the resulting divorce from his first wife, Ivana Trump.

Yeah, what great Presidential material!

So what if he did, why should we care?

But the fact is, he didn't. He inherited some, but made most his fortune investing in real estate.

Jarod, if it were possible to quadruple groan your post, I would.

He almost lost it too, and was bailed out! What a loser! Reality TV made him, just like Snookie!

Who cares? or why should I care? He was born, that is news to me. Bet his mom had heartburn!

Maybe. She was born in Scotland, and you know how that causes heartburn. Of course, records show she became a citizen before Donald was born.

I don't care. If he's a civil libertarian, ya know a political position that can be used as an accurate gauge of his likely political actions, than he has my vote. He can marry and divorce women till the cows (literally) come home. He can be crazier than the love child of Gary Busey and Charlie Sheen. If he supports what I support, he has my vote.

Well, if Trump gets elected, you better make sure your cows are home!

You know it is a reference to babies who have a lot of hair give their mother's heartburn, right...

Link up or shut up.

$400 million. The death of Fred Trump was arguably the last successful business venture of “The Donald.” Fred Trump’s inheritance money was responsible for contributing a “significant amount to Donald Trump’s wealth.”

Since then it has been failure after failure for Trump. Most people already know that Trump bankrupted his casino empire in Atlantic City. TWICE. In 2005, The New York Times business section wrote that Trump was close to “shutting his doors” in the late ’90s. He was forced to borrow money from family members against the future inheritance of his dying father. Without his family loans “there would be no Donald Trump” as we know him today according to the Times. Trump then lied to the paper about the loans.

You ASSume too much, too, apparently all of you are too young or didn't pay attention to when Donald almost lost his A$$! I posted links, Jarod is right about the man!

Trump uses bankruptcy as a business tool, like Disney, GM, and myriad other companies. The guy turned $400M into multiple billions. It is silly to say that he "failed" with that record. The reality is, the man is worth more than quadruple what his father left him, and that is using inflation decreased figures.

The point is, his dad had to bail him out at one time...

The point is, several billions later proves he's more successful than I am at this point. If bankruptcy for businesses was the measure, than almost no business older than 20 years that has ever taken on debt was ever successful.

Has Trump actually formed an exploratory committee or officially announced he's running?

This BC crap was just a cheap grandstanding ploy that netted him some press, along with the adoration of those who are easily bamboozled.

I think it is just a publicity stunt for most of the undeclared Republican
candidates!

You measure success in money, that is sad...

So, this is the man you would want to be President?

No wonder the USA is so fucked up, if they all use bankruptcy as business tools.
