That is a lie. Pelosi and the Mayor of DC refused to call them out. The President cannot call out the guard. He can only authorize it. Why did the Mayor of DC and Pelosi refuse the authorization?

The Posse Comitatus Act has not changed much since that time. The law prohibits the use of the military in civilian matters but, over time, Congress has passed at least 26 exemptions to the act that allow the president to send troops into states.

Once again, Trump cannot send in the guard, he can only authorize it which he did a day before. Pelosi and the Mayor of DC refused to accept them because of the "OPTICS". In other words, it was a POLITICAL decision to not send them in. The result is where we are now. :palm:

For the 3 hours of the riot, it was reported that trump was watching it all unfold on TV, refusing to go on TV to stop it.

Do you think that's a lie, and if not, what do you think trump was doing during the riot?

You are wrong, the Speaker and the Mayor have no authority to call the DC National Guard.
