It's authoritarian to force people to take a stab and to lock down their businesses. You don't like the characterization that's it's fascist but this isn't about what you like. It's about what is.

Labeling anything you disagree with "misinformation" is forcible suppression of opposing opinions.

You don't like being a fascist but you are.

Now you have brought up something different.

It is authoritarian to force people to take a jab, who forced anyone to do that? (Who did that?)

IT is authoritarian to force someone to lock down their business. I agree. (Who did that?)

Was it authoritarian for the government to nationalize iron production businesses during WWII?
Was it authoritarian for the Government to require Polio vaccinations for school children in the 1950?
Was it authoritarian to impose curfew's during the 1940'?
Was it authoritarian to draft 18 year olds during WWII?

There are times we have used authoritarianism and I believe sometimes it is called for, we use it much less now than any other time in our history.

But when its used like DeSantis did, when its not important, but for political gain, its awful.

IT is not fascist for the GOvernment to set conditions for those who work for the government, that is something very different than setting conditions for its citizens. Is it fascist for the government to say you cant work for the pentagon if you have a criminal record, is it fascist for the government to say you must have a science degree if they are going to hire you to be a scientist? You are confusing being a citizen of a government with being an employee of a government. It is not fascist for the government to set conditions for employment with the government, that is just silly.

WHo mandated that businesses be locked down? Not Biden. Not anyone in the federal government. Personally I think, in some situations it was justified. But what DeSantis did cannot be justified, there was no serious public interest.

First, Biden won't be running in 2024.

Second, I doubt Trump will go very far. Unless he implodes, DeSantis is likely to be the Republican nominee.

does it really matter?........not at all if you are running Biden.......any Republican could beat him at the moment.....right now I doubt Biden could beat Fetterman.......
