Trump: I'd pick justices who would look at Clinton's email scandal

Donald Trump on Wednesday fired back at Hillary Clinton, remarking that he would likely nominate Supreme Court justices who “would look very seriously at her email disaster.”

The former secretary of state has been under fire over her use of a private email server during her time at the State Department and called out the Republican front-runner in a speech Monday highlighting the impact the Supreme Court should have on this election. Clinton invoked Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. and asked Wisconsin voters what kind of justice a President Trump would nominate.

“Well, I’d probably appoint people that would look very seriously at her email disaster because it’s a criminal activity, and I would appoint people that would look very seriously at that to start off with,” Trump said in a phone interview with ABC's “Good Morning America.” “What she’s getting away with is absolutely murder. You talk about a case — now that’s a real case.”

The New York billionaire added, “If she’s able to get away with that, you can get away with anything.”

Please pardon my ignorance here but how does the Supreme Court address political influence in the IRS, DOJ etc.?

More and more I think Trump really has no idea how government works.

At least not the Supreme Court. Bernie Sanders said he wanted a justice that would overturn Citizens United on day one. That's two leading candidates that either don't understand how the SC works or think their supporters don't.

Id have to see Sanders quote in context but if he'd file a suit in federal court to begin the process of bringing Citizen United to trial...well that would be a damned good reason to vote for him.

Though Trumps campaign itself has proven money isn't everything in politics. It may be the mothers milk of politics but it's not the sum whole of it.

This is the 1st week that I'm starting to see this sentiment expressed on a more national level.

It's spot on, imo. I don't think he understands that much. His thoughts on NATO & foreign policy, his ideas on immigration, his focus on "deals," his statement today on abortion. I think he has very little understanding of anything outside of real estate & reality TV.

It wouldn't surprise me if Trumpkin Troll is going on a post deletion crusade and then will come back and say "link up to me saying I voted for Trump"

I don't see how he can file suit since he has no standing. If they want to challenge the ruling then I believe they will have to test it with another law.

IT seems to me he thinks the President is basically a kind for a four year term. Hes going to do this... hes going to require that. He alone can stop terrorism.

I don't know why, but I feel as though Sanders was using hyperbole and Trump was simply ignorant.

Yet you think you do?

If you think you know so much, why aren't YOU running?

I had that thought last night watching Trump with Chris Matthews, not the part about running, but that I know more about our Government and how it is designed and works than Trump. I also know more about the issues, the guy clearly had never thought about the ramifications of making abortion illegal until last night.
