Trump on the SAVE America Act: "It will assure the security of our crooked elections."

Anyone versed in The Constitution should be against the so called "Save America Act". The Constitution leaves it to the states to determine voting rights and procedures. It's not even a Constitutional requirement that voters be citizens. It is in state constitutions or state legislation that this and other voting requirements are found. By this diversity American liberties are protected, not endangered which they would be if left to the mercy of any single president and Congress.

The question IS NOT whether people want or do not want Voter ID.

The question is does this magat bill address the issue properly or is it smoke screen for election interference by trying to make it harder for certain populations (those who vote Dem) to vote?

We know that answer and it is the latter and the easiest proof of that is to look at how the magats are trying to force this.

Why block States from being able to integrate State University ID's with this even when the States say they will adhere to all the checks required but then allow things like Gun Licenses to be used.

You do not need to go further than that to see this is just being gamed by magats, to create as much inconvenience to dem voters as possible and then they PRETEND that any complaint is about the issue of 'ID' specifically and not how the magats are weaponizing the issue and engaging in election interference.

Our elections needed no "confidence building" until Trump lied about them. If anything, the investigations prompted by Trump's false charges
demonstrated with evidence upon evidence the integrity of our state administered elections.

Consider this from George Will's column in The Washington Post this morning:

"Hours after the FBI’s Georgia stunt, Trump posted some conspiracy theories, including — speaking of the exotic — this: China coordinated the use of Italian military satellites to cause U.S. voting machines to flip Trump votes to Biden.

Someone should read to him “Lost, Not Stolen,” a 2022 report by eight conservatives (two former Republican senators, three former federal appellate judges, a former Republican solicitor general, and two Republican election law specialists). They examined all 187 counts in the 64 court challenges filed in multiple states by Trump and his supporters.

Twenty cases were dismissed before hearings on their merits, 14 were voluntarily dismissed by Trump and his supporters before hearings. Of the 30 that reached hearings on the merits, Trump’s side prevailed in only one, Pennsylvania, involving far too few votes to change the state’s result. Trump’s batting average? .016. In Arizona, the most exhaustively scrutinized state, a private firm selected by Trump’s advocates confirmed Trump’s loss, finding 99 additional Biden votes and 261 fewer Trump votes."
