Trump on the issues

Considering the position changes he's made recently in planning on running for office and he's never held an elected position to vote on anything I don't see issue with questioning what he'll actually do if elected.

I can give you a quick rundown:
- he'll be amazing with the military, and w/ veteran issues (the vets all love him)
- we'll all have amazing healthcare
- he'll be the most amazing jobs creator
- he loves women, and he'll be the most amazing President on women's issues we've ever had
- he's going to build an amazing wall at the Mexican border, that he'll get Mexico to pay for
- he's going to get us amazing deals with China, Iran, Vietnam, et al.

If you take his word for it he will be tremendous and amazing on all issues.

If you ask him how hes going to do it, he is going to do it amazingly.

I saw Chris Matthews w/ him, and he kept pressing him for specifics. All he could say was "I've got specifics," and then when it came to things like 'how will you get Mexico to pay for a wall?', he'd respond, "oh, they'll pay - believe me."

I think the thing I absolutely love about this is that he has righties like Hannity, Ingraham & Coulter firmly in his corner. If we needed ANY further proof after Iraq that these were not intelligent people and that their opinion is meaningless, that's been put to bed now.

And don't forget that he & Putin spent a lot of time together and became great friends when they did 60 Minutes, even though they filmed their segments on different continents.

I just can't believe people are falling for this guy's schtick.

I can, those who are falling for it are exactly the ones I believe would fall for it.

I am just surprised how many of them there are.

I have an Uncle in Ohio who I love dearly. Truly a salt of the earth type guy that would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I've never heard the man make a racist remark my entire life. He's just a genuine good person. He's also more a blue collar type guy. He's not uneducated, he went to a local state college, but he's also not your Ivy League New York consulting/Wall St type person. He's the type that's been left behind by globalization. He's a Trump supporter.

I called him a few weeks back and said "why Trump Uncle Mike"? Right or wrong he likes Trump protectionist trade rhetoric and his bring back the manufacturing jobs rhetoric.

I can't speak personally to why all the other people support Trump but that's my one family story.

I talk to a lot of people just like that. They believe Trump can turn things around. WV has lost so many jobs under Obama it's only natural they'd warm up to someone who says he can turn it around. Sanders also scores pretty well here.

I don't know if Trump would or could do it---but I'm not convinced he wouldn't either.

Yes, it would. In Trump's case though I'd argue he'd doesn't have much of a history espousing the positions he holds today so he's even more of a wild card. He's already saying in interviews he will tone down his rhetoric as the nomination gets closer. We really don't know with him.
