I still believe it is a Mandela Effect. You "heard" something on a show and thought, "Yeah... I never see him laugh..." yet there are some examples of him laughing.
However, because you say he "never" laughs all it took to prove you wrong was one time. It doesn't matter if it is "rare" it only matters that you were wrong and are now backtracking and moving the goalposts.
