Trump: ‘Nobody knew that health care could be so complicated’

I'm waiting for you to say it, though. The point of the OP is that Trump is ignorant and proved it yet, sigh, again.
i do not expect him to be a policy wonk, the Hill is loaded with HC wonks,
I do expect him to use political capitol for a replacement -not just a repeal

I read the abstract years ago after my wife who is a neuroscience professor showed it to me. Great troll bait and sad commentary of the human condition. Trump is archetype for it. Dumb and oblivious yet confident.

Hell look at this board. We have posters here who claim they are in/near the genius range. Grandeur of delusion come at all levels of society.

The ACA is the result of trying to amend a for profit medical system, remove the "profit" and reforming ACA would be much easier, but it would ruin insurance companies.

Anyone who says stupid things like "remove the profit from healthcare" are complete idiots who should be barred from discussing the subject.

If it weren't for profit in healthcare your boobies would have killed you

You really are an idiot. It isn't stinging us, this just is further proof that 45 is out of his league. He came to change Washington, but like everyone in the past who has tried finds, it isn't that easy. Lol, lol, lol
Ma Clinton wouldn't have even tried, it would have been more of the same with looney tunes PC and climate madness on top.

Single payer is the only sensible option.
I agree. One of these days I'll repost Moosecare I came up with on DCJ. It's a free market solution to single payer and almost no gubmint involvement. Too bad no politician could come up with something similar.
Too bad I'm not King.

If even for a day.

You don't need to admit Trump is ignorant about Health care. He confessed.
Good point. At least he confessed. More than I can say for Pelosi/Obama. No, I take that back. Pelosi : “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” Except it's still in the 'fog of controversy'.

The folks who oppose ACA for ideological reasons and who have done so since the beginning -- some of them since 1948 in fact -- have a reasonable set of arguments on their side. Alas for them, they are a small minority of voters, although backed by some powerful special interests.

Research (not just polls) has shown for some time that what the majority of Americans really want is a single-payer, Medicare-for-all type entitlement although they are not clear on all the details since no such proposal has been on the table.

The current situation is one in which ACA is actually the least the electorate will accept, as Republicans surprised by the flare-up of support for Obamacare have been dismayed to discover.

Like Social Security and Medicare, some sort of ACA-like entitlement encompassing Medicaid is here to stay. Trump hasn't bothered to learn the details of these complex programs but months ago during the campaign he realized that getting on the wrong side of these huge entitlements is political suicide at the national level.

Trump is neither stupid nor a genius in this perception. The Conservative Party in Britain and sister parties throughout the advanced democracies came to this conclusion years, even decades ago. We were the last nation to adopt a national medical insurance system but the political dynamic in the USA is basically the same as it is in the rest of the developed world. Republicans who cannot accept this bitter reality are in for a drubbing.

You should kill yourself. I hope you get cancer and die

The truth is a bitter pill to an old fool.

Yes like when you claimed Military spending is 55% of government spending when it is in fact 16%.

The NATO guideline is reportedly 2% GDP.
And reportedly many NATO member nations do not meet that spending level.
Guess who makes up the shortfall (in both blood and treasure).

I've read that the U.S. not only spends more on military than any other NATO member nation,
but that the U.S. spends more on military than all the other 27 NATO member nations COMBINED.

We're chumps.

Well if you are being honest, it isn't all about altruism is it? The MIC is like the Borg, many American companies like Boeing wouldn't survive without the military.

Yep, the MIC is one of the big whores feeding on the American taxpayer...

What a racket, American tax payer monies are given to some countries, billions, so the can pay the MIC for war materials..:palm:
