No idea. It's not the point though. Fighting fire with fire only adds to the blaze. Trying to be civilized may not douse the flames, but it at least doesn't add to them.

As I've said elsewhere, what I've found in my search for online forums to post in is one of 2 varieties- forums where civility is enforced. Problem there is mods tend to heavily enforce it with those they don't like, even going out of their way to find some rule those they don't like has broken, while being lenient with those they agree with. I tend to get warnings or banned from those, as mods tend to dislike me due to my views. And then there are forums like this- less rules, but for the same reason, I have yet go get a warning or a ban in them.

Anyway, insulting people isn't "confronting" them, it's just insulting people. Confronting people with facts is what ABC reporter Terry Moran did with Trump as I mentioned in the opening post of this article. He also had the smarts to insist on moving on when he realized that continuing would have in all likelihood ended the way Zelensky's oval office meeting with Trump and Vance ended.
