Trump may be in for more serious charges in NJ

Incorrect. From the presidential records act

"Establishes in law that any incumbent Presidential records (whether textual or electronic) held on courtesy storage by the Archivist remain in the exclusive legal custody of the President and that any request or order for access to such records must be made to the President, not NARA."

Records remain in the EXCLUSIVE LEGAL CUSTODY OF THE PRESIDENT and if you want to have access you have to ask the PRESIDENT and not the NARA.

The archives cant demand shit from the president you stupid fat fucking whore. You are JPPs most ignorant piece of shit. You're addicted to trump porn you walking syphilitic twat.

Trump sure could use a good lawyer like you to represent him.:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Dude

He’s being charged with lying about them to keep them

Not for having them

Read the indictment

The term is obstruction. Pence and Biden did none of that. They also immediately returned the classified documents they found. The cases are not similar in any major way. They just both dealt with classified documents.

”Jack Smith’s Backup Option”

“Even before last Thursday’s indictment in United States v. Donald Trump, public speculation swirled about whether the former president had taken classified documents not just to Mar-a-Lago but also to his residence and golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. The indictment answered that question with a bang while presenting a new puzzle about why Trump isn’t facing even steeper charges.”

“According to the Justice Department and a taped recording of the former president, Trump took classified records from Mar-a-Lago to Bedminster, where he showed off the contents of such records to others. The indictment alleges that Trump showed a map to a political ally and also showed a writer and a publisher a secret military plan to attack Iran. These two episodes were arguably the most egregious allegations of criminal wrongdoing mentioned in the indictment; they allege not just the improper retention of our nation’s most highly classified information, but the intentional communication of such information.”

“But these two allegations raise a question: Why did Special Counsel Jack Smith charge Trump with illegal retention of classified documents but not with dissemination of such materials? And is that decision final, or could dissemination charges still be in the works?”

“The Miami indictment conspicuously excludes many facts surrounding Trump’s actions in Bedminster: what boxes were taken there, what they contained, how they were kept at the golf club. This silence suggests that there might be more to come from the famously hard-charging Smith”

Given that Trump’s army of attorneys postpone, delay, and appeal everything and anything, which obviously Trump’s strategy to push it all past 2024, if his Judge aids him will Smith file more charges against Trump in New Jersey?
lol....

The Republican Party has become a pathetic shadow of what at one time was a reasonable, decent political party.

It is a disgusting mess...and there seems to be no path toward sanity. Every sane member of it should abandon it now.

what options are there?...the Demmycrats have been a cesspit for decades........

I know what the charge is dude. I also know a president has up to 12 years to decide what's a private record and what's a presidential record. BTW didn't they also throw an espionage violation at him too? LMBO

The only ones in Trump world besides Trump himself still hyping "Presidential Records" are low IQ followers who believe national defense documents qualify as "personal papers".

Republicans are now the party that defends storing state secrets in a bathroom next to the toilet.
Your party seems to prefer records be stored on a server in a restroom in Colorado or on a garage floor next to a leaky old Corvette or in an unlocked closet in Chinatown. Or strewn about where a crackhead that did business with Chinese spies could see them.

Hillary Clinton’s email servers were maintained by a mom-and-pop outfit — run out of an old bathroom closet in a downtown Denver loft, according to a published report on Tuesday.

Wrong ignorant twat.

Why do you not post the very next line in the Presidential Act.

- "Establishes that Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the Archivist as soon as the President leaves office."

What that means is they MUST be handed over to the Archives immediately. The Archivist holds them in storage.

So in Obama's case the archivist set up a storage for him and maintained custody, in "ChinaTown" the entire time.

Clinton tapes were full of military intelligence like about Kosovo for example and the Judge said they belonged to Clinton because of the Presidential records act. ANY record that Trump retained was his property because of the Presidential records act. Trump is going to win this case.

That is not how the OBAMA judge ruled in Clinton sock drawer case. She said the President and the President alone gets to decide what Presidential records are. So Trump and Trump alone gets to decide what is a Presidential record.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson agreed: “Since the President is completely entrusted with the management and even the disposal of Presidential records during his time in office,” she held, “it would be difficult for this Court to conclude that Congress intended that he would have less authority to do what he pleases with what he considers to be his personal records.”

Judge Jackson added that “the
PRA contains no provision obligating or even permitting the Archivist to assume control over records that the President ‘categorized’ and ‘filed separately’ as personal records. At the conclusion of the President’s term, the Archivist only ‘assumes responsibility for the Presidential records.’ . . . PRA does not confer any mandatory or even discretionary authority on the Archivist to classify records. Under the statute, this responsibility is left solely to the President.”

That only applies to documents the president doesn’t want

Nobody is defending that. What Biden and Pence was a very serious and bad mistake. It was NOTHING compared to what Trump did.
Biden and Pence were not the President and Trump was. The Presidential records act says the President gets to decide what is a Presidential record . EVERY record in Trump's possession is covered by the PRA so what they did wasn't legal but what Trump did was.
