Well don't be so sure. According to Trump, Article II lets him do anything he wants, it gives him power unlike anyone has ever seen. And according to his lawyer, Trump can do anything he wants as long as it's in the public interest.
So if Trump decided to use the presidential power of Article II to refuse to step down, and declared it was in the public interest, would anyone be that surprised?

The Left-Right divide was originally about Democracy vs Authoritarianism. The Right talks about "small government" today, but they never left their authoritarian roots.

I suppose it is possible, but your prediction is not likely. A more likely scenario is trump somehow wins the Electoral College with a slightly greater loss in the popular vote.

In 2016, trump claimed he would win the black vote. That claim was outlandish. Now Republicans are claiming that trump will win 20% of the black vote, that too is outlandish. trump may actually lose some support among blacks, when there was almost none to begin with. Do you think Hispanics or Asian Americans will vote for him? Maybe Cubans, but there are more and more Puerto Ricans in Florida, and they are not happy with trump.

If you win the lottery next week, I will still believe it is highly unlikely, but possible, for you to win the lottery. Winning the lottery would not make that opinion "BS".

trump has a far better chance of winning the popular vote than you have of winning serious money in the lottery, but I was just using that as an extreme example.

The reality is that this is still anyone's game. Maybe trump will win, or maybe he will lose.

trump has never been reasonable in defeat, or even in victory. If he does not win, I doubt he will deal with it in a mature way. At the very least, he will refuse to show up at the inauguration.

Yeah....a 12% rise in one's popularity often causes LESS PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR THEM. Trump was elected by the EC in a landslide middle American turnout.....with his numbers ranging between 38 and 40%....now Trump's numbers are averaging 48% to 51% and in the world of left wing make believe...that means that LESS PEOPLE are going to vote to give him a 2nd term. :palm:
