“Trump lists ‘number of reasons’ for pardoning violent Jan. 6 rioters”

Wrong:

“THE FACTS: Trump has frequently claimed Pelosi rejected his offer to send National Guard troops to the Capitol on Jan. 6. While he was involved in discussions in the days prior to Jan. 6 about whether the National Guard would be called ahead of the joint session, he issued no such order or formal request before or during the rioting, and the guard’s arrival was delayed for hours as Pentagon officials deliberated over how to proceed.”

“In a 2022 interview with the Democratic-led House committee that investigated the attack, Christopher Miller, the acting defense secretary at that time, confirmed that there was no order from the president”

“Pelosi did not direct the National Guard. However, as the Capitol came under attack, she and then-Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell called for military assistance, including from the National Guard.”

“The Capitol Police Board makes the decision on whether to call National Guard troops to the Capitol. It is made up of the House Sergeant at Arms, the Senate Sergeant at Arms and the Architect of the Capitol. The board decided not to call the guard ahead of the insurrection but did eventually request assistance after the rioting had already begun, and the troops arrived several hours later.”

“The House Sergeant at Arms reported to Pelosi and the Senate Sergeant at Arms reported to McConnell. There is no evidence that either Pelosi or McConnell directed the security officials not to call the guard beforehand. Drew Hammill, a then-spokesperson for Pelosi, said after the insurrection that Pelosi was never informed of such a request.”

Wrong

So an unarmed woman wasn't murdered in cold blood. St George of fentynal died and you shit your pants. Oh wait maybe you only give a shit about criminals and pieces of shit. Now it makes sense
What gave you the idea that he cares about "St George"?

Oh, dear.....do you really believe that?
Look at the video. The hallway was empty. There were no Congressmen anywhere within 100 yards or more of that location. There were a few Capitol police at the opposite end of it.

The red dot is where Babbit was shot. Byrd was in room H 212 when he shot her. Byrd, after shooting her fled towards H 214, leaving the scene.
If protecting members of congress and that hallway was so vital, why did Byrd run away from the scene after firing?

What was Byrd defending? If he was defending something, why didn't he stand his ground and do so?

A mob was breaking through the windows to keep moving toward where the people Byrd was supposed to protect were.

It's truly sad how you continue to try to put what he did in a bad light. He was doing his job. Babbitt was breaking the law.

Byrd ran away after shooting Babbitt. How is that protecting anything or anyone?

I'm not putting it in a "bad light." I am factually stating what occurred. You want to excuse Byrd's cowardice and incompetence because you hate the Jan 6 rioters and Trump.

Do you know what the courts consider an advancing mob to be?

Whenever unarmed black men have been shot, there has been no outcry from MAGA - and some were doing nothing.

If it was a BLM protestor breaking through a window at the Capitol and got shot, they'd just say that he shouldn't have been breaking the law.

Trump could have stopped ALL of the violence that day by speaking up earlier, and not waiting 3 hours.
