Trump lays bare the many dark secrets of conservatism and then retreats to PC bs

Actually you capitalized both words so you were referring to the Conservative Party. That is what you typed. They have endorsed Ted Cruz.

If you meant the Republican Party, you should have said it.

For a person whose entire living is based on being precise with the English language you are pretty awful.

I am glad you learned something today and humbly accept your concession.

You knew what he was talking about.

What an absolutely inane, mindless "gotcha" attempt.

I am confident in my position, but I don't bet unless I understand the terms and who the decider will be.

Then what are you afraid of?

I've seen what the bet is about, the odds you've been given, and the decider. You have all you requested The ball is in your court to either put up of shut the fuck up.

He capitalized both words. You don't do that by accident. Is it my fault he doesn't know there is a Conservative Party?

Trump is leading the nomination for the Republican Party not the Conservative Party.

He supposedly gets paid to write a blog about politics. They should fire him

If you think being factually correct is a gotcha then you are as dumb as GayRod.

Amazingly he figgered it out in the end didn't he?

You must be a moron.

I made it clear that I don't think Trump is genuinely pro life and yet you still made your stupid point. Why? Either you you lack a capacity for understanding or you were too lazy to read the whole thing.

Populism and conservatism are not mutually exclusive. Santorum is a populist. Buchanan is a populist. Bush, Huckabee used populist themes. Hell, even Romney, who I would not call a populist, borrowed some of the rhetoric in Ohio.

Why is there an anti-Trump movement? Because he is winning most of the votes. If he were not doing so well there would be no anti-Trump movement. There is no anti-Pataki movement because he did not get off the ground. The anti-Trump movement is as much a sign of his appeal to Republican voters as it is a sign of his rejection by Republican voters.

Does any one know what Trump has, at the present, as a projection, in regard to the delegate count to win the Republican nomination ?

And how many delegates must a nominee have to win the nomination ?

Huckabee is a populist, but I've never thought of Santorum as one. Buchanan is irrelevant to me, but, I can see him holding the label. I was very adamantly against Huckabee when he ran in 2008, because I fucking hate all things populist. My reaction to Trump has personally been stronger, because, I at least view Huckabee as a likeable guy, and a genuine Republican candidate.

Here was a take of mine on populism in 2009.

Well, the populists in the 19th Century such as Jackson and Bryant succeeded in wrecking the American Republic. Contemporary populists such as Huckabee and Glen Beck also piss me off, because they appeal to the ignorant masses.
