The parties meeting with Trump all know this is TACO Trump and all he cares about is a headline and announcement and as such they are happy to make meaningless statements with him that will never get papered up and signed, as most of his 'deals' so far have been.
Trump loves the "Poorly Educated" magats as he knows they are so painfully stupid that they will celebrate each and every empty announcement as if it equals a signed contractual deal, when they do not.

And most exporting countries / companies/ importers and retailers may eat some of them but most all of Trump's tariffs are being passed onto the US consumer.
Heck with just the few he has put into effect and have worked through the supply chain prices of those things have already gone up.
The tariffs Trump is saying he is going to put on are ridiculously high and would dig into their profits and that isn't going to happen ( take a Economics course companies are in business to make a profit ) they will up their prices to cover the amount of the tariffs and IMO add another percent or two to pad their bottom line.
And IF Trump doesn't flip flop AGAIN and does put his high tariffs on on Friday when they work through the supply chain the price of most everything you buy will be going up.

So the deal is already outed as a FRAUD as the EU admits they have zero, ZERO ability to deliver on any of the promises and only private companies can ... if they want to.
The extra investments pledged under the trade deal would come from private companies, which Brussels conceded it has no power to control.

The only issue is i have zero ability to make JPP honor the deal or do anything just as the EU has zero abiility to make the companies do anything in the deal with Trump and the US.
But is sounds nice and the "Poorly Educated" always fall for it so time to celebrate.
