Trump-Lake in 2024? Just think of the possibilities

Now that's a winning ticket!

With all the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth over the Republicans’ stunning election losses in Arizona, the MAGA Nation is missing the exceedingly good news out of the Grand Canyon State.

Arizona’s loss is America’s gain.

Kari Lake is now free to join Donald Trump in his campaign to reclaim the White House in 2024. Free from her election-eve assurance that she would stay and govern our state for the next eight years.

Free to join with Trump and mount a nationwide campaign about the many ways in which they’ve been robbed.
Oh, I know. Trump doesn’t like losers but look around. The pickings’ of winners in his circle is becoming exceedingly slim given his losses in the midterm election.

Kari Lake checks the right boxes for a Trump VP

Besides, give Lake credit.

The newscaster who spent two decades reading a teleprompter turned out to be a masterful politician. She jumped into the governor’s race 17 months ago with a bellyful of anger and proceeded to rage her way right to the top of the Republican ticket.

And she checks all the right boxes for a vice presidential run:

Embrace conspiracy theories about election fraud in 2020? Check.

Embrace conspiracy theories about election fraud in 2022? Check.

Attack the media? John McCain? The FBI? Check. Check. Check.

Rail about a border “invasion” and a stolen election and masks and a stolen election and liberals and oh yeah, not one but two supposedly stolen elections? Cheeeeeeck.

She’s basically Trump in heels, a camera-ready candidate who could offer a shot of adrenaline to Trump and his flagging MAGA movement.

Plus, she hails from Iowa, giver of corn and presidential contenders.

Trump will not make it. He has serious court cases that he will have to attend. He cannot win them since he is guilty.

I think his plan is to incite his fans to riot for him to keep him out of prison. The nutjob does have a very large ego, after all.

It'll be a good opportunity for the WSEs to commit mass murder and, IMO, blow up in both Trump's face and in those of the domestic terrorists.

"The right of citizens to have arms is essential to a community being able to form a militia."

I saw you quoted on another thread saying the above.
It's amazing how we can disagree on almost everything.

I support the right of citizens to bear arms.

I would never support the right of citizens in a nation with free elections and a civilian controlled military to form a militia.
Citizen militias should not only be illegal, but being involved with one should--absolutely and unequivocally--be a capital offense.

Citizen militia members are the lowest form of troglodytes imaginable.
They're not like community watch people, themselves suspicious in many ways. {Pay enough taxes for adequate police.)
They're more like--and probably overlapping with--the KKK.

Your bias is noted.

Unfortunately, a lot of "militias" are, indeed, more akin to the KKK than community watch.

Only fucking morons who have never left their villlage think the US is just like their street. Police are twenty minutes from me. No fire department. Only assholes would suggest that my local area has no right to form a volunteer fire department or community response team.

Why are you content to live without adequate municipal services?

I'm not ribbing you, Oom; I'm serious.
Who chooses to live in a place like that?
I wouldn't be able to stand it.

There are small towns up in New Hampshire, like just over an hour or so from here, where people have no trash pickup.
They have to bring their own trash to the dump.
I, in all honesty, couldn't imagine living like that, but it does provide a small ray of insight.

If people can be so different from me that they would be willing to live in the fucking boonies,
then perhaps they're sufficiently different from me in many, many ways, including their political thinking.

Even realizing that, however, I can't imagine people so different ever being even minimally compatible.
They mayboth have human parts, but are they really the same species?
If they are, which I tend to doubt, then they're certainly not the same breed.
They're not birds of a feather who can ever fly together.
Sharing the same government has to be a daunting task...and obviously is.

I read this post this morning before I left my hotel to make the last leg of the trip to Kentucky to see my in-laws. Didn’t have the time to respond then. We’re here now so I got nothing but time. ;)

On two separate occasions in the 48 years I’ve lived where I live I have been part of a group of men who held thieves at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived. Our sheriff’s department is 30 minute out from where we live. Both times the perps were breaking into the store in our community. Both times the perps were white-trash crack heads. Was I part of a militia? I don’t know. But I do know that there is sometimes a need for armed community organization. Does that constitute a militia? I don’t know but I really don’t want to give that right/ability up.

I have since read yours and DU’s conversation and will add… I take my own trash to the dump. I did that just before we left on Thursday. Like you have said, we are where we should be, geographically speaking. We are getting too crowded where I live though. I long for the days of my youth when I could make the 25 mile drive to town and I might meet 10 cars. Now it is crazy and I can’t hardly find a break in the traffic to pass the local farmers heading to the sale with their livestock. I have seriously been considering moving further west…like Montana or Wyoming…or even Idaho. I like all three of those states a lot. I probably won’t, but I’ve been considering it. :)

You will be in prison before Trump is.

I think that when we grow up very differently, we have totally different concepts of adequate convenience.
When I smoked, decades ago, I couldn't tolerate having to get in my car to buy a pack of cigarettes. I wanted to be able to just walk to the corner.
Where I grew up, I didn't need a car at all. Now, I'm far enough from downtown where I might need cabs too often if I didn't have a car.

But take my own trash to the dump? Sorry Rev, but there are limits. I've never owned a truck!
I remember seeing the west during my many trips to Vegas. Ten minutes out of town and it literally looked like a moonscape.
Great if that's what you want, but I'd go completely insane.

That is not what your post said I replied to. I do not follow you. You are just here.

That's because you are nuts, dude. You're a conspiracy theorist wackadoodle who only sees what you want to see.

What I wrote was this: "I think his plan is to incite his fans to riot for him to keep him out of prison. "

Trump is desperate and afraid of prison. I doubt he'll ever go but that doesn't stop him from taking action to prevent such an eventuality.

If OJ can get away with murder for $10M, Trump can certainly get away with his crimes for $1B.

Coldjoint is cool, I think I have probably known him even longer than Frank Apisa.
