We all just saw it happen on live TV.
So since Brett had problems abusing alcohol as a youth, why would any of that abuse change as an adult?
He's a drunk. And not just a regular, run-of-the-mill drunk, but an angry drunk.
No alcoholics on SCOTUS!

Lol, I guarantee this is bullshit.
Are there that many people in here who actually WENT to college? Let alone never liked beer...A LOT...in that time of their life?
I grew up seeing a lot kids party hard and I know for a fact they don't today as adults
Because one parties in college doesn't mean they are going to be the same 30 years later.

and still no proof he did those 12 steps, and definitely no doubt he's still slamming those brewskis!
get your stupid ass to rehab Bart!
Right, but they would admit to frequent binge drinking and blackouts? Doubt it.
The problem isn't that Brett drank in his youth, the problem is he binge-drank and blacked out frequently, and offered no proof that his drinking habits didn't follow him to adulthood.
Well that depends on how you party, doesn't it? A habitual binge drinker and blackout drinker isn't going to suddenly stop the moment they get their diploma, will they? Has any alcoholic ever done that and not relapsed? Even George W. Bush, who was a drunk, wasn't fully there as an adult. Even you have to admit that.
I grew up with people who partied hard as youth's and didn't as adults. I grew up with people who did drugs in college and didn't as adults. I don't think that's unique. It's a part of growing up.
All of them?
And you don't know their intimate personal lives today, or whether or not any of them are struggling with alcohol addiction. How could you from someone you only knew in your youth.
Drinking is one thing, partying is one thing, but habitual binge drinking and blackout drinking are quite another.
Don't lump social drinking in with binge drinking and blackout drinking. That's not cool nor honest, and you know that.

anecdotes and assumptions?
yeah that'll work
I have not followed the drinking lives of every single person I knew in my youth until today. I don't have an exact number of people I went to school with and knew growing up and know today. I know people who partied and I don't mean having a glass of wine at an event. I know some of those people are very successful today. I've seen some of them blackout drunk.
There's nothing not cool or dishonest about what I'm saying. I'm talking about growing up in America.
will work for what?
Oh, there's video...it just happened.
attempting rape is just 'growing up in America'?
hope you live in a different state
Problem is, most of us who went to college didn't binge drink and blackout our way through it because we actually had to work to be there to maintain GPA's to guarantee financial support and scholarships.
