Agreed. However, like Trump's crimes, political divisions in Congress prevented justice from happening. It's a major reason why many Americans lost faith in their government over the past 35 years.

One of the projects our M-D plant was working on back then was the SLAM (stand off land attack missile) project. We all got a $250 Attaaboy award for our work on it. We couldn't even tell our family what it was for other than a secret project. As I mentioned, this was in the mid-1980s. Imagine my shock a few years later when Gulf I broke out. Because the govt. wouldn't let the media have embedded journalists, the networks were forced to show maps, weapons systems, night footage of Patriot missile batteries knocking SCUDs out of the sky, and so on. We watched CNN religiously to see what was going on. At one point they featured the SLAM, which was being used by our ships out at sea to hammer the bad guys. They even showed cut-away diagrams of its guidance, propulsion, and payloaod systems! Guess it wasn't classified any more!

Well IF McConnell and several other Senators HAD upheld the OATH they took to be unbiased jurors and vote on the evidence that was present when Trump was impeached we would be having the problems we are having now.
McConnell even came out and said YES the evidence did show that Trump did what he was charged with but he was not going to vote on the evidence he wasn't voting to remove Trump from office.
IMO there should be something we can do to these Congress people if they break the oaths they take.
